Hey everyone, I'm wishing everyone a joyous - relaxing - stress free - ease into morning - afternoon & evening :-) I was talking to a friend of mine in the wheee hours of the morning (Alvin Marshall II) last night and he and I were extensively discussing problems that we, society as a whole and or anyone we know, that has challenges or dilemmas they need assistance with.....but yet fail to reach out to whomever to obtain assistance with their trials and challenges etc. My point............for those of you that don't know, I created my own radio show http://www.blogtalkradio.com/saytellus December 12, 2011 via BTR (Blog Talk Radio; an internet radio website that enables anyone to create an Internet Radio program via any subject matter or instructional learning objective you choose and or desire to be on your program) here in NY, with its objective being for ANYONE to call in and talk to me Say Crisp via my talk show titled "Say' Tell Us.....what we need to hear and know" that needs someone to talk to about ANYTING they need help with and don’t feel comfortable discussing their concerns or dilemmas with their family, friends, co-workers or neighbors. And Alvin has been a sweetheart (amongst and along with other callers) in calling into my BTR show Mondays 6pm (NY time) & 5pm (Oklahoma time) helping me to build my fan base and get the word out that I exist and offering my advice etc. Alvin said what can we do and or I can do to help build your fan base better and mainly hopefully get more of our family and friends to call in, spread the word, and or have some of their family - friends and or their own adult children and their children to call in with questions - seeking assistance and guidance? So, I just thought I would solicit a plea - a request - and ask yall (yea I can't rid myself of my Sweet Home Oklahoma twang and I don't want to!) to have yourselves and or your children and grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, friends, enemies, the chick and or guy you met at Walmart to call in (323-580-5709) My show runs 45 minutes and it’s not the average call in radio show, its interactive amongst all callers…..we are ALL on the line conversing with each other…… ALL giving our input and advice SO TOGETHER (2+ heads are ALWAYS better than 1) we come up with the best solution to that individuals dilemma. And if you ask yourself via what accomplishments warrant me to justify and or determine that which makes me qualified to even provide – guide – assist and or give advice? The sincerest humble answer to that is Me – Myself & I …….and the character which was embedded in me, maintained in me and how I lived and continue to choose to live my 90% stress free life and MORE importantly how I alone raised my daughter and son to be loving – respectful – considerate young adults speaks for itself and warrant my ability to guide anyone towards prosperity, to live an honest life, to choose the best road to set themselves and their inner circle on the path of enhanced happiness and financial contentment. (not rich, but being content with what we have been blessed with) My path of life was not really a rocky one, but it is one that beyond positioned me to live and experience so much at a younger age than most; I was married at the tender age of 17, my Junior year in high school @ good ol’ BTW in March 1981 due to being 6 months pregnant and given two choices by my Moma to keep my child and marry, or not have my child and not get married – she said I created these two choices so therefore I had to be the one to choose. Moma reminded me I made this bed and now I must lie in it and she did not create these choices for me, so she would not choose them for me. But she reassured me (indirectly) that being from the ol’ skool and being born in 1925 that it was shameful to have a child out of wedlock (due to the era in which she was brought up in). Well it wasn’t even a choice for me….I felt my daughter Sigrid in me, and KNEW I loved her already in my womb and that she would be great for me, to me and an asset for society as a whole, so I got married to save my child (and in essence, not knowing at the time, she was saving me) and I married someone I knew I would eventually happily divorce. I then had my son, Tyree (aka affectionately called by me, family and friends ‘Teem) three years later. Who has become the Father he desired to have; he is Julian’s and Cam’Ron’s (aka Cammy) Father. So to surmise my point, I was a statistic, a pregnant teenager that broke the chain of what society expected in me…..to have 2-4 more kids, get on welfare, have children that have children via their teenaged years, get wrapped up in drugs, go to jail…..yadda yadda, you get my point. Instead, I raised a daughter that lost her virginity @ 25 years old (due to me pointing out to her and my son unendingly and utilizing MY mistakes in becoming a pregnant teenager and how that in itself will put your professional desired accomplishments on hold and prevent you from being able to offer all of the desires and exposure of your heart to YOUR children by not preparing yourself professionally – financially and the lack of that planning will prevent you from being the BEST parent you can for your children due to $$$$ being nonexistent as you wish and wanted). My daughter obtained her BS degree from Wilberforce University in Ohio (my Moma’s Alma Mater, which was to be mine as well to obtain my BS degree, but due to my teenaged pregnancy that wasn’t an option for me anymore, nor was going to Oxford in London to obtain my Master’s degree an option for me anymore as Moma had planned for me as well, which she pointed out to me when we were discussing and weighing my option to marry/keep my daughter or get an abortion/and not marry). My daughter Sigrid then moved to NY to obtain her Master’s degree from Columbia University. My son immediately chose to drop out of college his Sophomore year at Langston University when he learned his girlfriend Lydia was pregnant and married her and began working tirelessly to support his family. My son single handily (w/o being persuaded ever) TOLD me he is dropping out of college @ LU in 2004 to support his family and that he could not consider himself to be a man if he did not marry and begin implementation of what he is supposed to be, to do and become and that is to be a Man and marry his unborn sons Mother Lydia and provide a two parent household and financially and physically provide for his family. (Which was almost unheard of in 2004 and nowadays for a young man to marry his girlfriend just because she is pregnant). So in somewhat of a nutshell, I lay on the laurels of my two children in how I guided them, how I instructed them, how I utilized all of my mistakes, my accomplishments (I finally finished my collegiate journey May 2004 in obtaining my dual BA degree in Political Science; Journalism emphasized in TV and Radio Production and received Two AA degrees in 2000 and in 2002) and my wisdom – knowledge – experience and philosophies in cultivating them and preparing them to productively live for themselves, their children, their extended family, their friends and even strangers. I lay on those laurels alone; for if I can assist them and myself, I can surely assist others by talking to them and making them see and realize what is the best solution to their dilemma which will enable them to properly place any dilemma in perspective in its correct definitive box and set them up on the path of enhanced happiness and to learn how to choose which battle to fight for and to also realize what isn’t a battle and need not be fought anyway. Will I be able to change all lives and situations? Of course not, but I will be able to touch – assist – guide and help as many of those that allow me to. Let us not forget the greatest accomplished humans such as our honorable President Barack Obama, derived from ordinary modest upbringings such as me and you and provided society with honorable – caring – loving – considerate –productive – willing to assist and help others and give of ourselves type of people. For example my mother was a school teacher, Andre’ Henderson’s grandmother owned a restaurant, some of my friends parents were Janitors, Cooks, Sharecroppers, Mechanics, Scientists, Musicians, on welfare, Garbage Collectors, Fast Food workers…..the list goes on and on. We derived from humble beginnings and turned out to be who we are because of what our parents and guardians instilled in us. I want to continue instilling those lessons we all learned on how to deal with our everyday challenges to those who were never fortunate to receive those instructions, that guidance, that listening ear, that spouse that doesn’t listen to you, that friend that continues to cause you pain and heartache, that neighbor that gets on your last nerve, your teenager that listens to everyone but you and mainly to whom you don’t want them to listen to, I want them to call me, Say’ Tell Us……I promise that in which I advise them on ……will enable them to see the clear picture and make the right choice for that situation. p.s. I disclaim knowing anything useful and or helpful about Math – Science and Trigonometry (you will need to ask Andre’ Henderson about that LOL) But when you need assistance with “what should I do about…..my daughter, my son, my coworker, my spouse, teenagers, advice on behavioral scenarios, a love triangle, extramarital affair, cheating, lying, dishonesty, teenaged pregnancy, teenagers having sex, birth control? I’m your girl…..”Say’ Tell Us…..what we need to hear and know” (if its Gods will and it is beyond my desire), the future African-American Nationwide Radio Call in Talk Show host….
